Willamette Riverkeeper Presents: The Great Willamette Clean Up
Throughout the pandemic, the Willamette River and many other places in our great outdoors have experienced record usage in terms of visitors, recreation and housing those living outside. Unfortunately, this has lead to a lot of trash and debris left behind. Join Willamette Riverkeeper‘s efforts as they work throughout the Willamette Valley to clean the river!
We are thrilled to have this event coming to the Central Eastside to clean along the Eastbank Esplanade.
WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and Gazzy by Gazzo, for a cleanup of the Eastbank Esplanade in SE Portland as a part of Willamette Riverkeeper’s 14th Annual Great Willamette Cleanup!
Gazzy by Gazzo is a Portland based clothing brand inspired by the 80’s & 90’s decades of rebellion and self expression.
WHERE: Meet on the porch of the Willamette Riverkeeper Portland office at 403 SE Caruthers St #101 Portland, OR 97214, the red building with white trim. Free parking is available under the overpass to the east of our building. We will be working along the Eastbank Esplanade to the base of the Hawthorne Bridge.
WHEN: Sunday, October 16 from 9am – 11am
DETAILS: Dress for the weather – we’ll be working rain or shine! Pack along water, work gloves if you have them, sturdy close toed shoes and although not required, 80s/90s gear is encouraged! Gazzy will bring the tunes as well as some gently used Gazzy gear if you want to borrow a fun outfit during the event. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, disposible gloves and trash pickers.
A restroom will be available at the Willamette Riverkeeper office at the beginning and end of this event.
