Pick It Up Portland – Central Eastside

SOLVE and the City of Portland invite you to join Pick It Up, Portland! – a two day, city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our community. This event is a litter cleanup and will not include graffiti removal. Help keep Portland clean and healthy and ensure it can be enjoyed by all!

When: Friday, July 17, 2020
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet on the Eastbank Esplanade behind OMSI. Look for SOLVE Signs directing you to the check in table.
What’s Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers and vinyl gloves.
What to Bring: Please come wearing a face covering, closed-toed shoes, with a filled reusable water bottle. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, and litter bag, or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup.
Staggered Check In: Event check in will run from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will run through 12:30 PM.
Restrooms: Public restrooms will not be available during this event. Please plan accordingly.
Parking: Please use public transit if possible. Plan your ride at trimet.org. Paid parking is available on city streets or in the OMSI parking lot for $5. If we can secure free parking, this webpage will be updated with that information before the event!
Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect and to fill out the volunteer waiver form.
Columbia Store Pass: In appreciation for your support, each volunteer at this event will receive a special “Give Back to SOLVE” digital pass from Columbia Sportswear! This pass not only gives you and 4 guests access to current merchandise at 40-50% off retail pricing at their famous Employee Store in SW Portland, but also donates 10% of your purchase price directly back to SOLVE! Your digital pass will be emailed directly to you, post event.
