We are well on our way in our plans for creating an Enhanced Services District and cleaner, safer streets for all throughout the district. 

We need your support! : If you are a property owner, please contact us by email to find out how to show you support and to get a projected assessment of ESD fees. If you are a business and you want to show your support, you can send a letter to our commissioners. More info on the ESD and downloadable templates can be found here. 

These are current ESD pilot projects : Clean Start through Central City Concern,  a project to address community livability providing outreach to houseless and deterring graffiti and vandalism, and the Water Ave Shuttle.

Pilot program successes: 
– 5,457 bags of trash and 4,386 needles cleaned from the streets since February
-Trash pick up 2 x/day in the St Francis Church area
– Expansion of Clean Start program next month to include graffiti abatement services, more info on how to report graffiti coming soon!
– Since August, when our security pilot began, our outreach team has referred three houseless individuals to emergency services for life threatening health issues, referred three individuals to shelters, stopped three cases of vandalism in progress, accompanied several employees in the pilot area from their work to their cars, and regularly surveilled and cleaned up areas around district pre-school. They will also be distributing warm clothes and blankets for the winter.
