- Who is the Central Eastside Industrial Council?
- The Central Eastside Industrial Council (CEIC) is the business association for Portland’s Central Eastside. The CEIC manages the ESD, Central Eastside Together. You can learn more about the CEIC, here.
- How are the grants funded?
- Grants are funded through the Central Eastside’s Enhanced Services District (ESD), Central Eastside Together. For more information about Central Eastside Together please view the service plan and overview.
- Who is eligible to apply for the Central Eastside Together Community Grant program?
- To be eligible you must be an organization with 501c3 status or have a fiscal sponsor. Projects must occur within the Central Eastside Together Boundary.
- What project types are eligible for funding?
- Central Eastside Together only funds projects taking place in the Central Eastside Together Boundary.
- Capital projects and capacity building projects are not eligible for funding. Projects taking place outside of the Central Eastside Together boundary are not eligible for funding.
- Can organizations apply for funding with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor?
- Yes, organizations applying for funding may have a 501c3 fiscal sponsor. You will need to upload our Fiscal Sponsor Verification form with your application.
- How much funding should I request?
- How much funding you request is dependent on the size of your project. Grants awards will be between $2,000 – $10,000 and must be matched.

- How are grants selected?
- Grants are selected via the Central Eastside Together Board. The board prioritizes projects in the following areas:
- Community Building, Environment & Citizen Engagement
- Placemaking
- Houseless Services
- Workforce Development

- We are an organization physically located outside of the Central Eastside Together boundaries, but our project will take place within the boundaries. Can we still apply?
- Yes. In order to receive funding your project must take place within the Central Eastside Together boundaries but organizations may be located outside of the boundaries.
