  • What is Central Eastside Together?
    • Central Eastside Together is the name of the Central Eastside’s Enhanced Services District (ESD). For more information about Central Eastside Together please view our service plan and overview.
  • Who is the Central Eastside Industrial Council?
    • The Central Eastside Industrial Council (CEIC) is the business association for Portland’s Central Eastside. The CEIC manages the ESD, Central Eastside Together. You can learn more about the CEIC, here.
  • How are the grants funded?
    • Grants are funded through the Central Eastside’s Enhanced Services District (ESD), Central Eastside Together. For more information about Central Eastside Together please view the service plan and overview.
  • Who is eligible to apply for the Central Eastside Together Community Grant program?
  • What project types are eligible for funding?
    • Central Eastside Together only funds projects taking place in the Central Eastside Together Boundary. Spring 2020 projects will be completed from May 1 – December 31, 2020.
    • Capital projects and capacity building projects are not eligible for funding. Projects taking place outside of the Central Eastside Together boundary are not eligible for funding.
  • Can organizations apply for funding with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor?
  • How much funding should I request?
    • How much funding you request is dependent on the size of your project. Grants awards will be between $2,000 – $10,000 and must be matched.
  • I need help filling out my application, who can I ask questions to?
    • Please send all questions to Nyla Clark at nyla@ceic.cc. Additionally, we will be offering office hours to stop by and ask questions. Office hours will be held on February 12 and February 18.
  • How are grants selected?
    • Grants are selected via grant committee. The committee prioritizes projects in the following areas:
      • Placemaking
      • Workforce Development
      • Houseless Services
      • Community Building, Environment & Citizen Engagement

  • We are an organization physically located outside of the Central Eastside Together boundaries, but our project will take place within the boundaries. Can we still apply?
