Need entry-level help but don’t want to pay for the training? Check out Urban Opportunities

If your business is in need of a full-time or part-time entry level worker, you should check out Urban Opportunities. Teaming up with Oregon Outreach, former Pasta Bangs restaurant owner Polly Bangs started Urban Opportunities.

This non-profit organization is a job-placement program that creates and effective connections for under-supported youth and local businesses. Urban Opportunities work with youth who have expressed a desire to work and willingness to complete the necessary criteria in order to be placed in businesses.

When you hire an Urban Opportunity candidate, you agree to train the youth for one to two months in a an entry-level position at which time Urban Opportunities will pay the youth’s stipends as an on-the-job trial and training period. After the training and trial period, the youth will be permanently employed at your business for up to six months.
